This unique 15th century pub was, in former times, an ancient court house and has a long history of intrigue and passion well known to the local community.
Simply oozing charm and atmosphere, The Gun is situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside, only a short drive from Eastbourne sits directly on the Wealden Way, one of the most beautiful country walks in East Sussex. The Gun has recently been re-furbished and is now one of the most inviting pubs in the county. The real beauty of the massive inglenook fireplace has been revealed in its true glory and the red hand made brickwork is now alive with burning logs and warming the hearts of our guests. The panelled private dining room has also been completely restored and is now proudly boasting an unusual copper fireplace created by Kent artist Simon North.
This delightful room has been re-named 'The Copper Room' and seats thirty guests comfortably in a light and relaxed atmosphere. If your party does decide to come on horseback we can provide a 'horse parking area with a stone water trough in the specially created paddock! There is also extensive parking to the side of the pub off the lane for car drivers. The Gun can cater for private diners from an intimate group of eight to as many as fourty.

The pub is not overlooked in any way and has an extensive landscaped garden with tables and benches it is also equipped with wooden climbing frames and swings, ideal for children.
