wines, real ale, good food

The Dirty Habit is a beautiful 11th Century pub situated in the picturesque Kentish village of Hollingbourne.

Set on The Pilgrims Way in a designated area of natural beauty, with many walks and bike rides from the pub, it has been used by pilgrims on their way to Canterbury for centuries. It is reputed that King James II stayed at the inn whilst on his way to France via Canterbury and Dover.

Full of period charm and character we have undertaken a complete restoration of the building, keeping the unique period features intact.

We offer a varied selection of freshly prepared food all day every day, both traditional English as well as continental specialties using local suppliers whenever possible to support the local farming community.

For those special occasions we can offer a private dining service in a beautiful period room 'The Monks Corner' with oak beams to the apex and an inglenook fireplace to set it all off.
